Ad Agency Employees Step Into Passion With Bravo Stencils
Employees at eight advertising agencies in New York City had a colorful commute to work thanks to Bravo TV. GoGORILLA Media executed Bravo’s GoSIDEWALK chalk stencil campaign in April in the early morning hours to catch agency staff during their morning commute. Bravo pushed the limits of guerrilla advertising and greeted agency staff with a huge multi-color message outside their work. GoGORILLA Media placed a total of 57 spray chalk stencils in five different colors outside the ad agencies to get attention from media buyers in the industry. Media buyers and passersby alike stopped in their tracks to read the “passionate” message from Bravo on the sidewalks as they were making their way to work.

The Joule Decorates Seattle Streets with Eco-friendly Waterstencils
Essex Property Trust took apartment advertising to a whole new level in Seattle with the Joule GoWATERSTENCIL campaign. GoGORILLA Media placed 50 Waterstencils™ in 27 different locations all over Capitol Hill and the area around the Joule. The green advertising method goes hand in hand with the Joule’s ideal of eco-conscious living. Amazed passersby were informed that Joule apartments are now available for lease through mysterious imprints in the sidewalk grime. The Waterstencils, sometimes also referred to as reverse graffiti or clean graffiti, are washed into the sidewalks using nothing but water. No paint is applied to stencil the message into the ground, which makes Waterstencils™ environmentally friendly.

A Message Convention Visitors Could Not Miss
Qlikview reached convention-goers at the Orange County Convention Center through the use of various guerrilla marketing techniques: GoSIDEWALK chalk stencils, GoPROJECTION, and GoMODELS. Green and white GoSIDEWALK stencils were placed along International Drive by the convention center and the QlikView logo was projected on buildings at the busy intersections near the convention and directly at a hotel entrance to reach convention-goers on their way back to their hotel rooms. In addition, GoMODELS invited convention visitors to the QlikView pool party. The combination of three proven guerrilla tactics made this campaign a full-blown success and made sure that every visitor got the Qlikview message.

Mysterious Follow-Me Footprints In NYC’s Village Area
Mysterious footprints guided New Yorker to the hottest new lunch place in Greenwich Village this month. To promote the recently opened Otarian Restaurant location, the GoGORILLA team placed 55 chalk stencils on sidewalks in the near vicinity to lead residents and visitors alike to the new healthy food spot. Two creatives were used for this GoSIDEWALK promotion: stencils with cute footsteps and the message “Take your carbon footprint to lunch” encouraged pedestrians to follow them to the restaurant in bright green and blue colors.

Ke$ha Chalk Stencils Glitter Like Gold
GoGORILLA loves to try new stuff, so when a client comes to us and asks us “Can you do this?” we’re thrilled. If it’s never been done before, we’ll figure out how to do it. To promote the release of Ke$ha’s new album “Animal,” GoSTENCILS were spraychalked onto sidewalks in Los Angeles and New York City. For the first time ever golden glitter was applied to the stencils to go with the singer’s signature glamour look. The sparkly stencils got a lot of attention in high-traffic locations as well as outside clothing stores and clubs. The edgy creative spread the word of Ke$ha’s website.

Effective Guerrilla Marketing Techniques to Prevent Drunk Driving
To support the Texas Department of Transportation’s “Don’t Drink and Drive” effort , GoGORILLA used a combination of GoAUTO clings in the form of fake tickets as well as lost dog posters with taxi phone numbers on sidewalks and inside bars. The different guerrilla media and creatives were all encouraging Texas residents to refrain from driving drunk during the holidays. The GoAUTO clings resembled parking tickets and were in reality a warning that law enforcement was patrolling searching drunk drivers in the area in which the cars were parked, looking for drunk drivers. The lost dog posters had pull off tabs on the bottom with the phone numbers of local taxi companies. What made this campaign so effective is that the message reached drivers at the right time and place and discouraged them from making a bad decision while they still had a chance to call a taxi instead.

WaterStencils™ - Walk This Way to Woo
WaterStencils™, a green way to advertise a brand, are more popular than ever. Amongst others, we employed this tactic again this summer for shoe seller Shoe Woo. Two sexy high-heel creatives were power-washed onto high traffic New York shopping thoroughfares, catching the eyes of the passing fashionistas and foot-fetishists. These sidewalk spectacles drew attention from all angles and the clean look of the power-washed stencils left people wondering, “How did they do that?!”

DirecTV Doormats: You are just one step away from NFL Sundays!
Imagine you are coming home from work, take-out in your hand, ready to turn on the TV and kick back. While you are reaching for your keys, you notice you are standing on a large 2′x3′ door mat, placed right outside the entrance of your building and advertising DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket with up to 14 games. The DirecTV ads for their NFL package, which are spread all over the city, made it to your doorstep! GoGORILLA Media distributed 4,000 brightly colored doormats in upscale neighborhoods in New York City. Thanks to the size, bright colors, and large quantity of doormats distributed, the campaign was a huge success! The large non-slip turf mats were well received and, in many cases, will remain in place for months.

New Sidewalk Advertising Ideas - Eyecatching, Green, and Memorable
Sidewalk Advertising Reaches Millions
Each day millions of people walk down city sidewalks on their way to jobs and shopping. GoGORILLA can help you utilize those streets with reverse graffiti to send powerful guerilla marketing messages to promote any product or service. We have over ten years of experience in sidewalk advertising and have developed green graffiti techniques such as the WaterStencil™ or Sidewalk and Building Projection advertising that can reach customers on the streets without damaging the environment. Many of these out of home advertising methods can be used in combination with other actions, including street teams and brand ambassadors.
Why Sidewalk Advertising Is So Effective
GoGORILLA offers a variety of alternative advertising techniques that can be used in business districts, nightlife areas, and even during special events. We can craft guerrilla marketing campaigns that are creative, imaginative, and highly successful. GoSIDEWALK are guerilla marketing campaigns that GoGORILLA uses to promote products and services via streets and sidewalks. For example, street teams can pressure-wash reverse graffiti directly on the sidewalk surface, emphasizing clear and concise messages that catch the viewer by surprise. They concentrate on strategic locations within the top markets in order to reach the desired audience. The GoSIDEWALK alternative advertising messages have an immediate effect on consumers and work their way into the consciousness of people who view them on the street. This is guerrilla marketing at its finest: Fun, clever, and totally unpredictable.
So Many Stencil Types to Chose From
GoGORILLA uses a variety of methods in GoSIDEWALK campaigns, chalk messages, water stencils, sidewalk vinyls, sidewalk projections, murals, graffiti paste ups and more. This ensures that these out of home advertising methods are effective while remaining clean graffiti. Biodegradable chalk spray will last for thousands of impressions in each location before it wears away. We can also create chalk stencils in multi-color or with a glitter effect to fit the style of your brand and logo. Examples of unique chalk stencils are the Ke$ha glitter stencils and the Hertz Connect 2-color stencils. Sidewalk Advertising is often used in guerilla marketing campaigns to promote urban brands and new movie and album releases, but it is ideal for any brand that wants to reach commuters on the streets and leave a long-lasting message at a low cost.
Green And Clean - A New Age Of Advertising
The WaterStencil™ is a revolutionary technique that uses power washing to add a clean graffiti or a brand logo to a street or sidewalk by cleaning the design into the grimy surface. This unique out of home advertising technique adds no material or product to the surface, it merely adds the logo or message through power washing. This makes it a completely clean and unobjectionable alternative advertising form. WaterStencil™ has been successfully used to promote movies and market products such as clothing apparel in major markets.
Sidewalk Projections Light Up Consumer’s Paths
GoGORILLA also uses projection advertising in guerrilla marketing campaigns. This technology projects images onto buildings, walls and sidewalks. It can be used in moving vehicles, so that the image appears to be alive and moving through the city streets. This is a great way to catch the urban dweller off guard and make a truly memorable impression. They will be intrigued by the display and remember to tell their friends and family, write about it on their blog, put a video of it on Youtube or write a post on Facebook or Twitter. Many fun guerrilla marketing campaigns go viral thanks to their originality and the thousands of impressions they get on city streets.

GoPROJECTION, GoSTENCIL, GoLOSTDOGS - Hertz Connect
The Hertz Connect Campaign was a really unique and clever promotion consisting of three innovative media which were impossible to miss. On three consecutive nights, bright GoPROJECTION logos illuminated the sidewalk catching the eyes of everyone who walked by. Special two color GoSTENCILS were used for the first time on the streets of Manhattan. They were crisp and viewable in both day and night. Catchy GoLOSTDOG posters were hung around Hertz Connect locations, curiously grabbing peoples attention and creating gossip about the messages. All these media could be seen in ‘high foot traffic’ areas in Midtown. The Hertz Connect campaign stopped many curious onlookers in their tracks and created a lot of buzz about the new Hertz service.
